Update from 2010

Last year was a very busy year for Allan and I.  I started nursing school in January and finished my second semester with my GPN (graduated Practical nurse) in December.  I was without a job most of the year untill August.  When I finaly got started I was working at Life Care Center of Cheyenne.  Which I am currently working as a GPN at now.  Allan has been working at Chili's Bar and Grill as a bar tender and waiter for 2 1/2 years now!  He is loving it while attending college pursuing a Computer aided drafting degree.  We were hoping to graduate together in December of 2011 but found it was hard to afford school and work for the both of us.  He will graduate just a few semesters behind me!  We also had a big event last year that most our family and friends were able to share with us.  We got married on October 2, 2010.  It was a magical, cold, and fabulous day!  We got married at First Christian Church, reception was held at the Cheyenne depot.   It was such a perfect day.  Nothing went wrong except more people showed up than RSVP and we were short a few tables.  Other than that Allan and I beleived it was the best day of our lives thus far!

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving and Christmas as Newlyweds and enjoyed every minute.  Sadly the great thing about nursing is we have to work holidays and I was stuck at work on the night shift.  I made it work and eventually caught up on my sleep.  I have thoroughly enjoyed joining my new extended family with the Beachs and Taylor's.  They have made everything so easy and welcoming.

I have started back up with school in my third semester and boy have i forgotten how much time this schooling takes out of my life!  We started inserting IV's and I started at Life Care as a GPN on Tuesday and will take my boards for my nursing license on February 19th.  Allan is continuing to pick up shift at Chili's and work hard to keep our family above water.  It is really hard to work and go to school. Our families have really backed us up and helped out a lot!  They really helped with the wedding planning!  I actually left a lot of it to my mom because it was in the mddle of my second semester of school and they say it was the hardest semester of the entire program!  Hopefully they were right!

Our lives are fabulous, right now we are renting and really like the house we are in.  We talked about buying a house but decided it was in our best interest to wait until I was done with school!  So next year we are anticipating buying a house! Plus after buying a house we can start our family life and possibly introduce some little ones!  Well enough for now!  Just wanted to start this blog and keep everyone updated on our new family!
